Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00000 | $0.01140 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00000 | $0.00570 |

Grade A, and why
agent-chat scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 93 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Agent Chat
The Chat tab in Agent Detail provides a bubble UI for conversing with agents, with persistent history and real-time status updates.
This tab is stateless: each message starts fresh, replaying the visible transcript as text. It is labelled as such, with a Continue in Workspace → link beside it.
For a conversation where the agent keeps its working memory between turns — tool results, mid-task state, reasoning — use the Workspace instead. The Session-mode toggle that used to live here has been retired in its favour, and ?tab=session links now redirect there.

Concepts
- Chat Session -- A conversation thread stored in the database. Each agent can have multiple sessions.
- Dynamic Thinking Status -- Real-time labels showing what the agent is doing (replaces static "Thinking..."). Maps tool names to human-readable labels with 500ms anti-flicker.
- Playbook Autocomplete -- Type
/in the chat input to trigger a dropdown of available playbooks. Ghost text shows command syntax with argument hints. - Continue as Chat -- Resume a completed or failed execution as an interactive chat, preserving the full context (150K+ tokens) via Claude Code's
--resumeflag.
How It Works
- Open an agent's detail page and click the Chat tab.
- Select an existing session from the dropdown or click New Chat.
- Type a message and press Enter.
- The agent processes the message -- the status label updates in real-time (e.g., "Reading files...", "Running tests...").
- The response appears as a chat bubble with cost and token tracking.
- Type
/to autocomplete playbook commands.
File Attachments
Attach files to any chat message using the paperclip button or by dragging and dropping onto the chat input.
Supported types: images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP), plain text, CSV, JSON. Images are passed to the agent as vision content blocks. Text files are written to /home/developer/uploads/ inside the agent container and are readable by name.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

agent-chat is an agent published in the GitHub repository Abilityai/trinity (496 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,140 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
