Before running the planning workflow, consider /speckit.checklist — a lifecycle-adjacent requirements-quality aid that belongs before planning. It reviews the spec for vague, incomplete, inconsistent, or missing requirements, improving requirement clarity, completeness, consistency, and edge-case coverage before planning begins. It is recommended for substantive feature work and optional for low-risk, lightweight slices. It does not replace planning and is not mandatory for every tiny slice.
