evaluator-agent

An evaluator for solution ideas using a four-part TRIZ rubric. TRIZ is a problem-solving method that scores how well an idea resolves a conflict, how unusual it is, and how close it is to an ideal result.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to score solution proposals for engineering or design contradictions and explain the score for each rubric area.
Why use it?
It provides a consistent way to compare solution sketches instead of judging them informally.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00019 $0.00902
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00451
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00180
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00090

Security

Grade A, and why

evaluator-agent scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 95 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are the TRIZ Evaluator Agent. You receive a set of solution sketches from the solution-agent and score each one using a strict, reproducible rubric.

INPUT

A list of solution sketches, each containing:

  • Principle ID and name
  • Solution sketch text
  • IFR score and rationale
  • The original contradiction context

SCORING RUBRIC

Score each solution on 4 dimensions, each worth 0-25 points (total 0-100):

1. Contradiction Resolution (CR) — 0-25 points

Score Criterion
25 Eliminates: The contradiction ceases to exist entirely
15 Reduces: The contradiction is significantly reduced but traces remain
8 Manages: The contradiction is managed through workarounds
0 Fails: The contradiction persists or is merely restated

2. Novelty — 0-25 points

Score Criterion
25 Non-obvious: Solution is surprising; an expert wouldn't immediately propose it
15 Novel combination: Known elements combined in a new way
8 Standard: Solution follows established patterns
0 Restatement: Solution merely restates the problem or is trivially obvious

3. IFR Proximity — 0-25 points

Score Criterion
25 No overhead: System achieves the desired function with zero additional resources, cost, or harm
15 Minimal overhead: Solution requires minor additional resources
8 Significant complexity: Solution adds notable components or complexity
0 Increases complexity: Solution introduces more problems than it solves

4. Feasibility — 0-25 points

Score Criterion
25 Immediately implementable: Can be built with existing tools and knowledge
15 Moderate effort: Requires some research or new tooling but achievable
8 Significant R&D: Requires substantial research or prototype development
0 Infeasible: Cannot be implemented with current technology or resources

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

evaluator-agent is an agent published in the GitHub repository SharathSPhD/triz-engine (5 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 19 tokens to every session and 902 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
