redis

Command-line operations for managing hosted Redis databases. Redis is a service commonly used to store fast-changing data, such as caches, sessions, and queues.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add or delete network access-control rules for a managed Redis cluster. Commands accept the cluster, IP network, rule description, and target zone.
Why use it?
It removes the need to manage these database settings through separate manual requests. The documented commands include controlling which network addresses may connect to a Redis cluster.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.06856
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.03428
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.01371
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00686

Security

Grade A, and why

redis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Documentation for scw redis

This API allows you to manage your Managed Databases for Redis™.

Access Control List (ACL) management commands

Network Access Control Lists (ACLs) allow you to manage network inbound traffic by setting up ACL rules.

Add ACL rules for a cluster

Add an additional ACL rule to a Redis™ Database Instance (Redis™ cluster).

Usage:

scw redis acl add [arg=value ...]

Arguments:

Name Description Argument Specifications
cluster-id UUID of the Database Instance you want to add ACL rules to Required
acl-rules.{index}.ip-cidr IPv4 network address of the rule
acl-rules.{index}.description Description of the rule
zone Zone to target. If none is passed will use default zone from the config Default: fr-par-1One of: fr-par-1, fr-par-2, nl-ams-1, nl-ams-2, pl-waw-1, pl-waw-2

Delete an ACL rule for a cluster

Delete an ACL rule of a Redis™ Database Instance (Redis™ cluster). You must specify the acl_id of the rule you want to delete in your request.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

redis is a command published in the GitHub repository scaleway/scaleway-cli (996 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 6,856 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
