cortexloop-lite

A lightweight CodeCortexLoop review command for recent code changes. It runs three checks: general review, security, and error handling.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for small diffs or first-time runs when you want a high-severity review and a generated report.
Why use it?
It gives small changes a quicker review by omitting the heavier learning, graph, and cross-checking steps.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00033 $0.00404
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00202
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00040

Measured yesterday against content hash 9f3d4bf83663, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

cortexloop-lite scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CodeCortexLoop Lite

Run /cortexloop with preset lite locked in — the lightest official path for small diffs and first tries.

preset: lite
passes: [review, security, errorHandling]
severityFloor: High
scope: recent
learning.enabled: false
crossValidation.enabled: false
scope.deepIndexOffer: false
scope.mapEnrichThreshold: 0

Skip preset selection. Still ask Report vs Direct unless --ci.

Enabled passes run in fixed sequential order (Task subagent per pass) — see passes/README.md. Lite runs steps 1, 2, 4 only.

What lite skips (modules stay installed — only toggles behavior)

Step Full default Lite
Step 0.5 Playbook query on off (learning.enabled: false)
Step 2b-enrich MAP when confidence low off (mapEnrichThreshold: 0)
Step 2c codegraph offer may ask user off (deepIndexOffer: false)
Step 3.5 cross-validation on off (crossValidation.enabled: false)

Disk handoff, scope manifest, and post-processing (badge, dashboard) still run — only optional/heavy steps are skipped.

Follow all steps in commands/cortexloop.md and rules/cortexloop-workflow.mdc. Run post-processing scripts after report.json is written.

Optional: copy cortexloop.config.minimal.json or merge the lite keys above into cortexloop.config.json.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cortexloop-lite is a command published in the GitHub repository whitequeen306/code-cortex-loop (15 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 33 tokens to every session and 404 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
