A pre-compaction hook configuration that runs Python scripts before an agent's conversation context is shortened. The hooks record event information and create continuity notes so work can continue after compaction.

Use it to run memory and continuity scripts automatically before manual or automatic context compaction events.

It helps preserve useful context when a long conversation must be condensed. Without those notes, decisions and unfinished work may be harder to recover accurately.
