Use it to research trading factors, measure their information coefficient and information coefficient-to-risk ratio, backtest combinations, benchmark them, and produce reports.

It organizes several research steps that are otherwise easy to perform inconsistently or leave undocumented. Backtesting means checking how a strategy would have performed on past data.
