Code you write must pass cyclomatic complexity lint. That is a number, not a vibe.

  • Cap: this repo's existing rule (eslint complexity, ruff C901, gocyclo, clippy). If none, 10.
  • Do not disable it (eslint-disable complexity, # noqa: C901, --ignore C901, clippy allow).
  • Extract. Early return. Flat if. No nested pyramids.
  • Nesting >2 (ponytail) is not a substitute for the lint number.
  • Done = cited lint command green on the files you touched.
  • Procedure when the repo has no cap, or lint is red: Read ~/.cursor/skills/complexity/SKILL.md.
