How it starts

Multi-host portability rules. When invoking AskUserQuestion:

  1. The header field MUST be a short noun phrase (≤ 12 characters). Mistral Vibe rejects longer headers with string_too_long. Pick from: Start, Target, Scope, Audience, Methodology, Feature, Question.
  2. The options list MUST have at least 2 items. Vibe rejects empty/single-option calls. For free-text input, always provide ≥ 2 framing options (e.g. Yes, here's the input / Skip) — never call ask_user_question with options: [].

Key things to extract (from the Phase 1 synthesis + the plan overview loaded at startup):

  • Challenge session findings (gap, recommended next skill, what you're building)
  • Prior objectives (if any) — flag which ones were hit or missed

Phase 0.5: Surface existing objectives and top opportunities

Before the full context synthesis, pull the top opportunities and any existing objectives by keyword — fast FTS lookup that surfaces the most relevant evidence before the heavier query_prompt:

For each result, Read the full page (path column). Carry prior objectives into Phase 2 as the "already committed to" baseline — new OKRs should close gaps or supersede them, never silently overlap.
