reflexio-consolidate

A tool for cleaning up Reflexio memory files by removing expired entries and merging similar profiles or playbooks. Reflexio is a system that stores reusable facts and procedures across sessions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when memory has drifted, duplicate playbooks appear, expired profile files need removal, or the user asks to consolidate or deduplicate Reflexio data.
Why use it?
It reduces duplicate or outdated memory that can cause conflicting information to be retrieved later. The process can decide whether similar files should be combined or kept separate.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00060 $0.00337
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00169
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00067
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

reflexio-consolidate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Reflexio Consolidate

User-invocable via /skill reflexio-consolidate. Same workflow that runs automatically via heartbeat (every 24h of active use), but on-demand.

What it does

  1. TTL sweep: delete expired profile files.
  2. For each of profiles and playbooks:
    • Cluster similar files via memory_search.
    • For clusters of 2+ members, call llm-task with prompts/full_consolidation.md to decide consolidate (one-fact-per-file) or keep-all.
    • Apply decisions: write individual fact files, delete originals.

How to run

Call the reflexio_run_consolidation tool. It spawns the consolidator sub-agent and returns a runId.

After successful consolidation, call the reflexio_consolidation_mark_done tool to update the heartbeat timer.

When to use

  • User asks to "consolidate", "clean up reflexio", "dedupe memory"
  • User reports seeing duplicate or contradictory entries in retrieval
  • Heartbeat check returns ALERT (automatic trigger)

When NOT to use

  • Routine maintenance — heartbeat handles this automatically.
  • Immediately after Flow A/B writes — shallow dedup at write time + Flow C at session end cover the fresh-extraction cases.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

reflexio-consolidate is a skill published in the GitHub repository ReflexioAI/reflexio (338 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 60 tokens to every session and 337 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
