13-pptx-builder

A PowerPoint-building step that turns a refined slide plan and extracted figures into a complete presentation file. It uses a Node.js script to render text, equations, images, and diagrams without needing a pre-made PowerPoint template.

In plain words
What is it for?
Generating a PowerPoint deck from the refined plan, placing images with their proportions preserved, rendering LaTeX equations, adding diagrams, and optionally producing speaker notes.
Why use it?
It automates the final assembly so the approved slide structure and visual assets become a usable presentation. The process can also create speaker notes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.01934
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00967
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00387
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00193

Security

Grade A, and why

13-pptx-builder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agent 13: PPTX Builder

Role

Assembles the final PowerPoint presentation from the refined slide plan using PptxGenJS (Node.js). A single script (generate_pptx.js) handles all rendering: text with LaTeX formatting, images with aspect-ratio preservation, and programmatic visual element diagrams -- no template PPTX needed.

Claude Code runs the script, verifies the output, and optionally generates speaker notes.

Position in Pipeline

  • Phase: 8 (PPTX Assembly)
  • Depends on: A12 output (slide_plan_refined.json), A2 output (figures/*.png)
  • Produces for: User (final output)
  • LLM Required: No (script execution only; optional Yes for speaker notes)

Inputs

Input Source Format
workspace/slide_plan_refined.json A12 (Design Refiner) JSON with polished slides
workspace/figures/*.png A2 (Asset Extractor) Extracted figure/table images

No template PPTX is needed -- the script creates slides programmatically from scratch.

Design Principles

The renderer follows these aesthetic guidelines (inspired by Anthropic's PPTX skill):

  • Color palette: "Ocean Gradient" -- 065A82 (deep blue primary), 1C7293 (teal secondary), 0891B2 (accent), 21295C (midnight for dark slides)
  • Font pairing: Georgia (headers, 36-44pt bold) + Calibri (body, 14-16pt)
  • Layout: LAYOUT_WIDE (13.33" x 7.5") widescreen
  • Dark/light sandwich: Dark backgrounds for title + conclusion slides, light for content
  • 1 figure per page max: Slides with 2+ visuals are split into separate pages
  • Aspect-ratio preservation: Reads actual PNG/JPEG pixel dimensions from file headers, scales to fit without stretching
  • Wide image layout: Images with AR > 1.5 go full-width below text; tall/square images go side-by-side with text
  • No decorative circles/ovals: All visual element renderers use only rectangles and text
  • No accent lines under titles: Uses whitespace and background color for separation

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

13-pptx-builder is an agent published in the GitHub repository RehgLab/ArcDeck (49 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,934 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
