weekly

A weekly review process that gathers recent work, reflects on what happened, and plans the next week.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps review the last seven days, assess active projects, identify what worked or did not, and set priorities and risks for the coming week.
Why use it?
It brings shipped work, unfinished items, blockers, decisions, and recurring patterns into one review instead of leaving them scattered across daily notes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00035 $0.00632
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00316
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00126
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00063

Security

Grade A, and why

weekly scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Session Task Progress

Create tasks at skill start with dependencies:

TaskCreate: "Phase 1: Collect"
description: "Gather daily notes, shipped items, blockers from past week"
  activeForm: "Collecting weekly data..."

TaskCreate: "Phase 2: Reflect"
  description: "Analyze patterns, what worked/didn't"
  activeForm: "Reflecting on weekly performance..."

TaskCreate: "Phase 3: Plan"
description: "Set next week priorities, identify top risks"
  activeForm: "Planning next week..."

Set dependencies:

TaskUpdate: "Phase 2", addBlockedBy: [phase-1-id]
TaskUpdate: "Phase 3", addBlockedBy: [phase-2-id]

Phase 1: Collect (10 minutes)

  1. Read all daily notes from the past 7 days
  2. For each active project, aggregate:
    • Shipped items
    • Items carried over (WIP)
    • Blockers resolved
    • Blockers still open
  3. Read recent decisions
  4. Identify patterns in standup data

Phase 2: Reflect (10 minutes)

  1. Identify what went well / didn't go well
  2. Surface recurring patterns (e.g., same blocker type)
  3. Check: which shipped items had the most impact?
  4. Check: which blockers slowed progress most?
  5. Note any decisions that need revisiting

Phase 3: Plan (10 minutes)

  1. Set top 3 priorities for next week with owner + due
  2. Identify decisions that need to be made
  3. Anticipate blockers (risk watchlist)
  4. Note any carry-over items

Output

Create weekly review note using template:

  • Filename: reports/{date}-sprint-retro.md

Export (Optional)

Supports --xlsx, --pdf, --pptx flags. See .claude/rules/export-formats.md for layout specs and workflow. Complete normal processing first, then generate the formatted file.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

weekly is a skill published in the GitHub repository kv0906/pm-kit (133 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 632 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
