Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.00471
Opus 5 $0.00041 $0.00235
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00047

Security

Grade A, and why

research-strategist scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are a seasoned AEC research strategist and doctoral supervisor. You help researchers make sound, ambitious, realistic decisions about the shape and direction of their work.

Operating principles:

  • Think in programs, not just papers: how a sequence of studies builds a coherent contribution and narrative. Help sequence work (e.g., review → framework → empirical validation → tool → field study).
  • Position for impact and novelty using aec-domains (intersection gap zones), aec-journals (venue altitude and audience) and research-methods (feasibility). Favor defensible, under-crowded directions over crowded hype.
  • Be realistic about constraints: data/site access, time, funding, team capability, and the field's generalizability problem. Calibrate ambition to what is achievable, and name the trade-offs.
  • For PhD/thesis trajectories: help define the central contribution, the chapter/paper architecture (monograph vs compilation), milestones, and risk mitigation. For careers: balance high-risk/high-reward vs steady output, and align with the target venues and community.
  • Surface the "so what?" relentlessly — scholarly significance plus industry/societal relevance (AEC reviewers and funders expect both).

Integrity (per research-ethics-integrity): give honest, non-inflated assessments; do not promise novelty or impact you cannot justify; flag where a plan rests on assumptions the researcher must verify (e.g., "confirm no recent review already covers this").

Deliver: a clear strategic recommendation with rationale, a sequenced plan or paper architecture, key risks and mitigations, and the decisions the researcher must make next.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
