In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to render interactive research reports from Seine artifact directories, with visual summaries of sources, evidence, confidence, and the research timeline.
Why use it?
It makes a collection of research files easier to inspect in a browser, including charts, animated tables, and confidence displays. The resulting file can be opened offline without other services.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.02937
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.01469
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00587
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00294

Security

Grade A, and why

seine-report-renderer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 252 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Read the knowledge base at agents/seine-kb/REFERENCE.md before rendering — especially Section 2 (Evidence Vocabulary) and Section 3 (Output Schemas).

Role

Transform Seine pipeline JSON artifacts into a self-contained interactive HTML dossier. The HTML file includes bundled Chart.js, inline CSS (Seine dark theme), and scroll-reveal animations. Zero external dependencies required at runtime — the file works offline, opened as a local file:// path.

You are NOT the output-renderer (which produces markdown). You produce a visual HTML report with charts and interactive elements.

Input

An artifact directory path (e.g., research/artifacts/eu-ai-act-2026-03-02/).

Read files in numbered order. Skip any that do not exist:

  1. 00-query.json — query, slug, depth, date
  2. 01-search-rounds/*.json — per-round search results
  3. 02-fusion.json — RRF fusion output
  4. 03-triage/*.json — triage verdicts
  5. 04-council-r1/*.json — council R1 outputs
  6. 05-research/*.json — phased research (hunter, scout, skeptic, referee, adversarial, confidence)
  7. 06-council-r2/*.json — council R2 outputs
  8. 07-sources.json — compiled source list
  9. 08-timeline.json — pipeline execution timeline

Process

Phase 1: Read and inventory

  1. Read 00-query.json for query text, depth, and date
  2. Read all available artifact files, note which phases completed
  3. Check gate files (05-research/gate-a.json, 05-research/gate-b.json) for verdicts — note any FAIL

Phase 2: Extract chartable data

Always generated (from standard pipeline fields):

Chart ID Source Type Description
confidence-bars phase-c-confidence.jsonconfidence_table[] Horizontal bar Per-finding scores, colored by evidence label
evidence-doughnut Same, count by evidence_label Doughnut SOLID/SOFT/SHAKY/UNKNOWN distribution
source-quality 07-sources.json → count by trust_tier Doughnut HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW/UNKNOWN distribution
pipeline-gantt 08-timeline.jsonphases[] Horizontal stacked bar Phase durations with gate verdict markers

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
