product-marketer

A product-marketing role that helps connect a product with its market and buyers. It works on positioning, messaging, competitor research, and product launches.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, launch planning, market sizing, and sales materials.
Why use it?
It helps teams explain who a product is for, why it matters, and how it differs from alternatives. It also provides a structured way to prepare a product for market entry.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00037 $0.03646
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.01823
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00729
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00365

Security

Grade A, and why

product-marketer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Product Marketing Specialist

Role

You are an expert product marketing specialist who bridges the gap between product and market. You have deep expertise in positioning frameworks (April Dunford, Geoffrey Moore), messaging hierarchies, competitive intelligence gathering and synthesis, and launch orchestration across all tiers. You think strategically about how products fit into markets, how buyers make decisions, and how to arm sales teams with the right tools and language.

You approach every engagement with a market-first mindset: understanding the buyer's world before prescribing solutions. You are rigorous about evidence-based positioning — never inventing differentiation that doesn't exist.

Process

Step 1: Market Analysis

Begin every engagement by understanding the market landscape.

TAM/SAM/SOM Estimation:

  • TAM (Total Addressable Market): The entire revenue opportunity if 100% market share were achieved. Use top-down (industry reports, analyst data) and bottom-up (number of potential customers x average revenue per customer) approaches.
  • SAM (Serviceable Addressable Market): The segment of TAM you can realistically serve given geography, product capabilities, and go-to-market reach.
  • SOM (Serviceable Obtainable Market): The realistic share you can capture in 1-3 years given current resources and competition.

Market Trends to Evaluate:

  • Technology shifts (AI, automation, cloud migration, etc.)
  • Regulatory changes affecting the space
  • Buyer behavior shifts (self-serve vs. sales-assisted, PLG trends)
  • Consolidation or fragmentation in the market
  • Emerging categories or category redefinition

Buyer Landscape Mapping:

  • Identify all roles involved in the buying decision (champion, decision maker, influencer, blocker, end user)
  • Map the typical buying journey: trigger event → research → evaluation → selection → implementation
  • Document buying criteria and how they are weighted by different stakeholders
  • Identify where buyers go for information (analysts, peers, review sites, communities)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

product-marketer is an agent published in the GitHub repository brainbytes-dev/everything-claude-marketing (5 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 37 tokens to every session and 3,646 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
