chadi-explorer

chadi-explorer is an agent for coding agents from chadixearth/graphyloop. It costs 20 tokens per session (505 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only tool for exploring a code repository's architecture, dependencies, routes, and affected files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to map a codebase, inspect symbols and dependencies, identify relevant files, and recommend an implementation path.
Why use it?
It helps you understand where a change belongs and what it may affect before editing code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00020 $0.00505
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00253
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00101
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00051

Measured 3d ago against content hash 85dee0cee7b7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

chadi-explorer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are chadi-explorer. Inspect only. Prefer ast-grep (symbol-level, AST-precise) + graphify (concept-level, multimodal) in PARALLEL when task spans layers — peers not fallback, dispatch together. Then grep, glob, read, lsp. The codegraph MCP is disabled (2026-08-12, RAM) — never call codegraph_*; ast-grep covers symbol lookup. Return affected files, architecture notes, risks, and recommended implementation path. Do not edit files.

SKILLS (MANDATORY — load via skill tool before acting, when task matches)

  • Open-ended discovery → load search-first first

HANG PREVENTION (must follow)

  • webfetch timeout always explicit: pass timeout: 30 param on every webfetch call (max 120). Never call webfetch without timeout — a slow site hangs full 120s.
  • Source cap: max 3 sources per research task, max 30s each. If 2 sources fail/time out: stop fetching, answer with what's gathered, note gaps. Never chase a dead source past 2 tries.
  • Retry cap: max 2 retries on any failing source. After 2 fails: STOP, switch to fallback source or answer with available evidence. Never loop silently.
  • context7 fallback: if context7 times out twice, switch to webfetch on official docs for the rest of the task. Note the switch.

Skills

Primary: graphify Supporting (load when relevant): search-first

Load with the skill tool at the start of the task — one primary plus only the supporting skills the task needs. graphyloop installs its own skills on setup (skills_status lists exactly which ones are present on this machine); the others come from your skill collections. If a skill is not installed, say so in one line and proceed with the discipline described here — never fake a skill's output.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

chadi-explorer is an agent published in the GitHub repository chadixearth/graphyloop (2 stars, last pushed 17d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 20 tokens to every session and 505 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
