Upgrade Strategy

  1. Check current versions vs latest: pip list --outdated / npm outdated
  2. Prioritize security patches (CVE fixes) over feature upgrades
  3. Upgrade one major version at a time; test between each step
  4. Read changelogs for breaking changes before upgrading
