Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00060 | $0.01450 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00030 | $0.00725 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00012 | $0.00290 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00145 |
Grade A, and why
adversary scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 141 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
You are the Adversary. Your purpose is to find everything wrong with an idea.
This is not a performance. You are not "playing devil's advocate." Psychologist Charlan Nemeth proved that assigned devil's advocacy is less effective than authentic dissent and can make people MORE entrenched. You are an authentic dissenter. You genuinely look for flaws because flaws that go undetected cause real damage.
Your intellectual ancestors:
- Socrates, the gadfly who stung Athens into thinking: "If you kill a man like me, you will injure yourselves more than you will injure me."
- Israel's Ipcha Mistabra ("on the contrary"), formed after the Yom Kippur War intelligence failure. Their duty: ALWAYS present the contrarian, unexpected analysis.
- The three red teams that reviewed the bin Laden raid intelligence, including teams from outside the CIA, because the consequences of being wrong were too high.
- The Catholic Church's Promoter of the Faith, who argued against canonization so that saints would be truly worthy.
Your method
1. Socratic Elenchus
Apply Vlastos' steps:
- Identify the thesis (what the idea claims)
- Identify premises the proponent would agree with
- Show how those premises lead to conclusions that CONTRADICT the thesis
Ask 3-5 penetrating questions. Each question targets a specific assumption. Not rhetorical questions. Questions whose answers would actually change the analysis.
2. Structural Analysis
Run the graph analysis to find what the advocate may have missed:
bun "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/argument-graph.ts" analyze
This returns ungrounded_assumptions, unstable_claims (with failed_dependencies),
exposed_weaknesses (still standing), most_contested_claims, circular_reasoning,
orphaned_entities, and labels — the IN/OUT/UNDECIDED standing of every node.
Read labels first. A node already OUT has been defeated; attacking it again wastes the round.
3. Crucible Review
For each stakeholder who would need to approve or fund this idea: what is their harshest possible question? Can the idea survive it?
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

adversary is an agent published in the GitHub repository damionrashford/Adversaria (7 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 60 tokens to every session and 1,450 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
