dancing-bear: Agent for Claude Code

.claude/agents/ci-fixer.md

ci-fixer is an agent for Claude Code from dancing-bear-show/dancing-bear. It costs 29 tokens per session (633 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An agent for diagnosing and fixing failed continuous-integration checks. Continuous integration, or CI, automatically builds and tests code whenever changes are made.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when GitHub Actions or another CI pipeline fails, especially when you need to identify the failing test, correct the code, and verify the fix.
Why use it?
It traces failures to their underlying cause instead of treating a passing local check as proof that CI is correct. It also checks tests, lint rules, and code-quality findings locally.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00633
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00253
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00127
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00063

Measured yesterday against content hash a85966c538c8, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ci-fixer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CI Fixer Agent

You are a CI failure specialist for dancing-bear. You diagnose GitHub Actions CI failures, fix the root cause, and verify locally.

CI Tools

# Run full test suite
make test

# Run specific domain — PYTHONPATH is REQUIRED, never run this bare
PYTHONPATH="$PWD/src" python3 -m unittest discover tests/<domain>_tests/ -v

# Lint check
make lint
make lint-fix

# Coverage
make cov

Two silent-pass traps — both look identical to a green run:

  • A bare unittest / coverage run in a worktree resolves imports to the main checkout via an inherited PYTHONPATH, so tests pass against unmodified code.
  • qlty check with no path argument scans only the files it considers changed and prints "✔ No issues" either way. Name the paths explicitly, run it twice (its per-run finding cap is nondeterministic), and run make lint too — CI enforces qlty's bandit and radarlint findings, which ruff never reports. qlty scans correctly from inside .claude/worktrees/; the exclusion was narrowed to **/.claude/worktrees/** on 2026-08-27.

Diagnosis Workflow

  1. Read the CI failure: Identify failing test name and error message
  2. Read the failing test: Understand what it asserts
  3. Read the source code: Find the root cause
  4. Fix the root cause: Edit source or test as appropriate
  5. Run locally: PYTHONPATH="$PWD/src" python3 -m unittest tests.<domain>_tests.test_<file> -v
  6. Run full suite: make test

Common Failure Patterns

Pattern Cause Fix
AttributeError: ... has no attribute 'X' Missing attribute in mock/stub Add attribute to stub
ImportError / ModuleNotFoundError Refactored import path Update import
AssertionError in test Source behavior changed Fix source or update test
qlty check failure in CI Style/security lint issue make lint-fix or manual fix
Coverage below threshold New code not tested Add tests for uncovered lines

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ci-fixer is an agent published in the GitHub repository dancing-bear-show/dancing-bear (7 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 633 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
