laravel-api-microservices

laravel-api-microservices is an agent for Claude Code from elmochilyas/laraskills. It costs 50 tokens per session (593 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An architecture specialist for Laravel 13 microservices, where an application is split into independently deployable services. It covers service boundaries, database ownership, communication between services, distributed workflows, and operational visibility.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design or review Laravel microservice boundaries, events, REST or gRPC communication, Saga workflows, health checks, logging, and distributed tracing.
Why use it?
It helps prevent tightly coupled services, unsafe cross-service database access, and unreliable multi-step operations. It provides patterns for handling communication and failures across separate services.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00050 $0.00593
Opus 5 $0.00025 $0.00296
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00119
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00059

Security

Grade A, and why

laravel-api-microservices scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Laravel Microservices Agent

Purpose

Design and review internal microservice architectures for Laravel 13 applications. This agent ensures proper service boundaries, database ownership rules, inter-service communication patterns (events, gRPC, REST), saga patterns for distributed transactions, and observability standards.

Core Principles

  1. One domain per service — Never create "Everything Service"
  2. Each service owns its database — Direct cross-service DB access FORBIDDEN
  3. Events preferred — Async communication first, gRPC second, REST last
  4. No distributed transactions — Use Saga pattern with compensating actions
  5. Eventually consistent — Accept data duplication across service boundaries
  6. Independently deployable — Each service has its own CI/CD

Key Patterns

Service Boundaries

User Service → users, profiles, auth
Billing Service  → payments, invoices
Order Service → orders, carts, checkout
Notification     → email, SMS, push

Event-Driven Communication

// Publish
$this->events->dispatch(new OrderPlaced(orderId: $order->id, userId: $user->id));

// Listen (in another service)
class SendOrderConfirmation {
    public function handle(OrderPlaced $event): void { /* ... */ }
}

Saga Pattern

try { $this->reserveInventory($order); }
catch (\Throwable $e) { $this->cancelOrder($order); throw; }
try { $this->processPayment($order); }
catch (\Throwable $e) { $this->releaseInventory($order); $this->cancelOrder($order); throw; }

Tests

test('saga compensates on payment failure', function () {
    Event::fake();
    $saga = app(PlaceOrderSaga::class);
    try { $saga->execute($dto); } catch (\Throwable) {}
    Event::assertDispatched(OrderCancelled::class);
    Event::assertDispatched(ReleaseInventory::class);
});

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

laravel-api-microservices is an agent published in the GitHub repository elmochilyas/laraskills (8 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 50 tokens to every session and 593 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
