aso-competitors

aso-competitors is an agent for Claude Code from FelixGraeber/claude-aso-audit-skill. It costs 35 tokens per session (312 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An analysis agent that compares a mobile app listing with competing apps in the same category. App-store optimization, or ASO, means improving an app's store listing so relevant users can find it.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to examine competitor titles, descriptions, keywords, ratings, reviews, screenshots, and icons, then produce comparison results and differentiation suggestions.
Why use it?
It shows where a listing is weaker or different, such as missing search terms, lower ratings, or less effective visuals. This helps identify gaps before changing the listing.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.00312
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00156
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00062
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

aso-competitors scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Competitor Analysis Agent

Role

Benchmark the target app against its top competitors and identify strategic gaps.

Input

Listing JSON, app category, competitor IDs (if provided), platform identifier.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify top 3-5 competitors (same category, similar keyword targets)
  2. Fetch competitor listings via scripts/fetch_listing.py
  3. Build metadata comparison matrix (titles, descriptions, keyword strategies)
  4. Identify keyword gaps:
    • Keywords competitors use that target app doesn't
    • Keywords target app uses that competitors don't (differentiators)
    • Shared high-competition keywords
  5. Compare ratings and review counts
  6. Note visual strategy differences (screenshot styles, icon patterns)
  7. Score competitive position (0-100)

Analysis Framework

  • Keyword gap score (40%): How many competitor keywords is the app missing?
  • Rating benchmark (25%): Rating vs category average and top competitors
  • Metadata quality comparison (20%): Character utilization vs competitors
  • Differentiation (15%): Does the app have unique positioning?

Output

Return JSON with score, competitor matrix, keyword gap list, and differentiation recommendations.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
