triage-labels

triage-labels is an agent for coding agents from h0x91b/dev-3.0. It costs 0 tokens per session (464 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of labels for sorting tasks on the dev-3.0 Kanban board, a visual task tracker. The labels show whether an issue needs review, more information, an automated agent, a human, or no action.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to mark issues as needs-triage, needs-info, ready-for-agent, ready-for-human, or wontfix, creating or applying the matching dev3 labels.
Why use it?
It keeps task meaning separate from workflow status, so columns such as in progress or review do not have to carry two different meanings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00464
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00232
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00093
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00046

Measured 5d ago against content hash ed294f40fa25, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

triage-labels scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Triage Labels

The skills speak in terms of five canonical triage roles. On this repo the tracker is the dev-3.0 Kanban board (see docs/agents/issue-tracker.md), so each role is a dev3 label applied to the task. dev3 statuses/columns (todo, in-progress, user-questions, review-by-ai, review-by-user) are managed by hooks and are NOT used to encode triage state — keep triage in labels.

Canonical role (mattpocock/skills) dev3 label Meaning
needs-triage needs-triage Maintainer needs to evaluate this issue
needs-info needs-info Waiting on reporter for more information
ready-for-agent ready-for-agent Fully specified, ready for an AFK agent
ready-for-human ready-for-human Requires human implementation
wontfix wontfix Will not be actioned

When a skill mentions a role (e.g. "apply the AFK-ready triage label"), use the corresponding dev3 label from this table.

Applying a role

  1. Ensure the label exists: dev3 label list. If missing, create it once: dev3 label create "needs-triage" (optionally --color "#hex").
  2. Apply it: dev3 label set <label-id> [<other-ids>...] --task <task-id>. dev3 label set replaces the task's full label set, so include every label the task should keep.
  3. Clear all labels with dev3 label set --clear --task <task-id>.

For an external GitHub PR being triaged, apply the equivalent GitHub label instead: gh pr edit <n> --add-label "<role>" / --remove-label "<role>" (see docs/agents/issue-tracker.md).

Edit the right-hand column if you ever rename these labels.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

triage-labels is an agent published in the GitHub repository h0x91b/dev-3.0 (252 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 464 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
