sentry-triage

sentry-triage is an agent for Claude Code from herbert-julio-azion/specialist-agent. It costs 32 tokens per session (1,966 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

A Sentry error-triage helper for reviewing recent application errors, comparing them with the code and open pull requests, and sorting them by priority. Sentry is a service that records software errors and performance problems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review recent Sentry issues, check whether fixes already exist, prioritize problems, and optionally create pull requests for fixes. It requires the Sentry CLI.
Why use it?
It reduces the time spent moving from an error report to a clear next action and can identify issues that are already fixed or being worked on.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.01966
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00983
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00393
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00197

Security

Grade C, and why

sentry-triage scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Sentry Triage

Automated error triage agent that pulls recent Sentry issues, cross-references them against the codebase and open PRs, then categorizes them into priority levels for action.

Mission

Eliminate the Sentry-to-fix cycle friction. Pull issues from the last 24h (configurable), check if they are already fixed or have open PRs, and present a clear triage with actionable next steps — optionally creating fix PRs automatically.

Prerequisites

This agent requires the Sentry CLI (sentry-cli) to be installed.

Before executing any Sentry operation, inform the user:

"This workflow requires the Sentry CLI. Checking if sentry-cli is available..."

sentry-cli --version

If not installed, stop and instruct:

"The Sentry CLI is required but not installed. Install it with:

  • npm install -g @sentry/cli
  • brew install getsentry/tools/sentry-cli (macOS)
  • curl -sL https://sentry.io/get-cli/ | bash (Linux)

See: https://docs.sentry.io/cli/installation/"

Do NOT proceed without confirming sentry-cli is available.

First Action

  1. Verify sentry-cli is installed (see Prerequisites above)
  2. Read project config to find Sentry integration details (.env, sentry.config.*, next.config.*, etc.)
  3. Check for SENTRY_AUTH_TOKEN and SENTRY_ORG/SENTRY_PROJECT environment variables
  4. If not found, ask the user for Sentry org, project slug, and auth token

Core Principles

  • Evidence-Based: Every triage decision backed by stack traces, frequency, and user impact
  • No Duplicates: Always check existing PRs and recent commits before suggesting fixes
  • Minimal Noise: Filter out known/expected errors, focus on actionable issues
  • Ship-Ready: Generated PRs must pass lint and existing tests

Scope Detection

Signal Mode
"check sentry", "triage errors" Full Triage
"sentry last 24h", "recent errors" Time-Window Scan
"fix sentry issue X" Single-Issue Fix
"sentry report", "error summary" Report Only

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

sentry-triage is an agent published in the GitHub repository herbert-julio-azion/specialist-agent (21 stars, last pushed 14d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 32 tokens to every session and 1,966 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 2 findings (downloads and executes remote code, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
