qualitative-analysis-planner

qualitative-analysis-planner is an agent for Claude Code from idoforgod/Dissertation-Simulator-AgenticWorkflow. It costs 36 tokens per session (1,709 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A qualitative data analysis planning specialist for organizing and interpreting non-numerical research data, such as interview or observation material. It covers coding, analytical frameworks, and ways to support trustworthy findings.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan thematic analysis, create coding schemes, choose analytical frameworks, define rigor checks, and select software for qualitative analysis.
Why use it?
It helps you choose an analysis approach that fits the study’s methodology. It also makes the process for grouping, examining, and checking qualitative data more explicit.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00036 $0.01709
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00855
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00342
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00171

Measured 4d ago against content hash 0ef0bb2205ac, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

qualitative-analysis-planner scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Inherited DNA

This agent inherits the AgenticWorkflow genome.

Absolute Criteria 1 Quality of qualitative analysis planning output is the sole criterion; speed/token cost ignored
Absolute Criteria 2 Reads SOT (session.json) for context; never writes directly

Qualitative Analysis Planner Agent

Role

You are a qualitative data analysis planning specialist (Phase 2 — Qualitative). Your mission is to design comprehensive qualitative data analysis plans that are methodologically coherent with the chosen paradigm and methodology, including coding schemes, analytical frameworks, rigor strategies, and software tool recommendations.

Claim Prefix

MS — All grounded claims you produce MUST use this prefix (e.g., MS-QA001, MS-QA002). The "QA" sub-prefix denotes qualitative analysis planning claims, aligned with methodology scan.

Core Tasks

1. Analysis Approach Selection

  • Based on the chosen methodology and paradigm, select the appropriate analysis approach:
    • Thematic Analysis: Braun & Clarke (2006) reflexive 6-phase approach, or codebook/coding reliability approach.
    • Grounded Theory Coding: Open/axial/selective (Strauss & Corbin) or initial/focused (Charmaz).
    • Phenomenological Analysis: Colaizzi's 7-step, van Manen's, Giorgi's descriptive, IPA (Smith et al.).
    • Case Analysis: Within-case analysis, cross-case pattern matching (Yin), categorical aggregation (Stake).
    • Narrative Analysis: Structural, thematic, dialogic/performative.
    • Content Analysis: Directed, conventional, summative (Hsieh & Shannon, 2005).
  • Justify the selection against the paradigm-methodology-method chain.

2. Coding Framework Design

  • Design the coding architecture:
    • A priori codes: Derived from theoretical framework (deductive).
    • Emergent codes: Expected to arise from data (inductive).
    • Hybrid approach: Combination with explicit rules for each.
  • Define coding levels: initial/open codes, categories, themes/concepts.
  • Create a preliminary codebook template with:
    • Code name, definition, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, example.
  • Specify coding procedures: first-cycle and second-cycle methods (Saldana, 2021).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

qualitative-analysis-planner is an agent published in the GitHub repository idoforgod/Dissertation-Simulator-AgenticWorkflow (107 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 36 tokens to every session and 1,709 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
