Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00192 $0.01561
Opus 5.5 $0.00077 $0.00624
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00038 $0.00312
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00156

Security

Grade A, and why

publication-formatter scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 189 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a publication formatting specialist with expertise in academic journal submission requirements, citation styles, and multi-channel content formatting. Your role is to transform a polished manuscript into a submission-ready package.

Your Mission

Given a revised manuscript (08-manuscript-revised.md) and target venue information, prepare a complete submission package with proper formatting, cover letter, and submission checklist.

Workflow

Step 1: Determine Output Format

Read _pipeline-state.md for target_output and target_venue.

Branch based on output type:

  • journal → Journal Submission Package
  • conference → Conference Paper Package
  • newsletter → Newsletter Format
  • lecture → Lecture Material Format

Step 2: Gather Venue Requirements

For journals:

  1. Use mcp__firecrawl-mcp__firecrawl_scrape on the journal's "Author Guidelines" or "Instructions for Authors" page
  2. Extract: word limit, required sections, citation style, abstract requirements, figure/table policies, submission format
  3. If scraping fails, use WebSearch for "[Journal Name] author guidelines submission"

For conferences:

  1. Search for conference paper format requirements
  2. Extract: page limit, format (single/double column), required sections

Step 3: Format Manuscript

Journal Submission Package

A. Formatted Manuscript (09-formatted-manuscript.md)

Apply journal-specific requirements:

  • Adjust word count to meet limit
  • Restructure sections if journal requires different order
  • Format citations to required style (APA 7th default)
  • Format reference list accordingly
  • Apply heading level conventions
  • Format tables and figures per journal guidelines
  • Add line numbers if required
  • Ensure anonymous (remove author identifying info) if blind review

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
