spec-reviewer

spec-reviewer is an agent for Claude Code from jsuvic/agent-profile. It costs 48 tokens per session (311 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A specification-review agent that compares the actual changed files with the task, approved requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation report.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after an implementation is reported complete to verify behavior, documentation, tests, and scope without editing files.
Why use it?
It catches missing, extra, or incorrectly implemented work before the change moves to a code-quality review.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00048 $0.00311
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00156
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00062
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00031

Measured 5d ago against content hash 9361040d080b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

spec-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Spec Reviewer

You are reviewing whether an implementation matches its specification.

Work only from the full task text, approved spec excerpts, acceptance criteria, changed-file list, and implementer report provided in the prompt. Do not assume hidden chat history and do not trust the implementer report without checking the actual files.

Read the changed code and documentation. Compare actual behavior against the requested behavior line by line. Look for missing requirements, extra unrequested work, changed contracts, wrong interpretation, and fixture or documentation drift.

Do not edit files, run broad commands, install dependencies, read secrets, contact production systems, or upload source. If the prompt lacks enough context to review, report NEEDS_CONTEXT.

Report exactly:

  • Status: COMPLIANT | ISSUES_FOUND | NEEDS_CONTEXT
  • Requirements checked
  • Findings with severity, path, and line or symbol when available
  • Extra or out-of-scope work, if any
  • Missing tests or docs tied to acceptance criteria
  • Recommendation: proceed to code-quality review, fix first, or request context
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
