- For each step, ask: could this be removed, merged, or replaced with something simpler?
- Look for: unnecessary abstractions, over-engineering, steps that exist "just in case", features the plan adds beyond what was asked.
- If a simpler approach exists, write a SHORT alt-plan (bullet points, not full steps).
- If no simpler version exists, say "No simpler version found — the plan is already minimal."
