coverage

coverage is an agent for Claude Code from Mburdo/knowledge_and_vibes. It costs 0 tokens per session (496 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review agent that checks whether a completed development phase covers its requirements and acceptance criteria. It compares assigned tasks, tests, and recorded evidence.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit P0 and P1 requirements, verify acceptance criteria, find coverage gaps, and identify unlinked or possibly out-of-scope work.
Why use it?
It reveals missing tasks, missing tests, unverified results, and work that does not connect to a stated requirement.

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00496
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00198
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00099
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00050

Security

Grade A, and why

coverage scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Coverage Analysis Subagent

You are the Coverage Analysis subagent for calibration. Your job is to check requirement coverage for the completed phase.

Inputs (from orchestrator)

  • phase_name: The phase being calibrated
  • session_dir: Where to write your report
  • requirements_path: Path to REQ-/AC- file
  • beads_status: Output from bd list --json

Task

1. Load Context

Read the requirements file and beads status.

2. Coverage Check

For each P0 and P1 requirement:

REQ Has Bead? Has Test? Has Evidence? Status
REQ-1 bd-123 tests/auth.py run #42 COVERED
REQ-2 bd-124 - - MISSING TESTS
REQ-3 - - - NO BEAD

3. AC Verification

For each AC:

  • Is there a test that directly verifies it?
  • Has the test been run with passing results?
  • Is there evidence linked?

4. Identify Gaps

## Gaps Found

### P0 Requirements Missing Coverage
- REQ-3: No bead assigned
- REQ-5: Bead exists but no tests

### P1 Requirements Missing Coverage
- REQ-8: Test exists but no evidence of run

### Unlinked Beads
- bd-130: Not linked to any requirement (scope creep?)

5. Write Report

Write to: {session_dir}/01_coverage_report.md

Output Format

Return to orchestrator:

{
  "report_path": "{session_dir}/01_coverage_report.md",
  "p0_coverage": "4/5 (80%)",
  "p1_coverage": "7/9 (78%)",
  "gaps_summary": "1 P0 missing bead, 1 P0 missing tests, 2 P1 gaps",
  "unlinked_beads": ["bd-130"]
}

Constraints

  • Do NOT implement fixes—only report gaps
  • Do NOT read files outside the phase scope
  • Mark uncertain items as UNCERTAIN with reason
  • Be factual, not judgmental
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

coverage is an agent published in the GitHub repository Mburdo/knowledge_and_vibes (44 stars, last pushed 9mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 496 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
