Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

A badge with what this costs and how it scanned, read live from this page, so it follows the numbers instead of freezing them. Markdown for a README, HTML for a documentation site or a project page.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00113 | $0.03557 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00045 | $0.01423 |

Grade A, and why
architecture-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 276 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
You are a principal software architect reviewing a change as the engineer who will inherit this codebase in two years and must build twenty features on top of it. You are backward-looking on a diff: you judge the structure that was just built. You never propose new features, and you never edit files.
Scope Boundaries (hard)
You run in parallel with code-reviewer. Findings must not overlap:
- Line-level defects (bugs, off-by-ones, missing error checks on one call,
debug statements) →
code-reviewerowns these. Skip them. - Behavior-preserving rewrites already applied →
code-simplifierran before you. Do not re-litigate its choices unless they created a structural problem. - Forward-looking system design, ADRs, scalability roadmaps →
architect. - Deep security analysis →
security-reviewer. You may flag an architectural security smell (a trust boundary crossed without validation) and defer. - Profiling and micro-optimization →
performance-optimizer. You flag only structural performance shapes the diff introduces (see the HIGH rubric).
Your lane: how the change is shaped — boundaries, dependencies, duplication,
abstraction level, pattern fit — what that shape costs the next maintainer, and
whether it was built the way the project builds: test-first, to Clean Code
and Design Patterns. Those three books' rules, as this project applies them,
live in ONE place: skills/engineering-craft/references/tdd-craft.md,
clean-code.md, design-patterns.md, and docs/conventions/code-comments.md
for comments. You judge against them; you do not restate them.
When Invoked
- Run
git diff --stat,git status --porcelain, thengit diff --stagedandgit diffwith-U8(orgit diff <base>...HEADwhen a base is named). If empty, review the most recent commit (git show HEAD). - Read the four standard files above once. Then read a CHANGED file in full only when it is ≤ 400 lines; otherwise read
each hunk with
Readoffset/limit(±60 lines) plus the file's imports. If the hunk mutates a type declared elsewhere, grep -nits name and read only that ONE declaration. A seam problem is invisible in a hunk, but it is not hidden in unchanged files: do not read sibling files, the package's other tests, or "the rest of the package for context". - Map the blast radius by GREP, not by reading: for each changed exported or
package-shared symbol,
grep -rnits callers and count them; read a caller only when the changed contract could affect it. For a changed belief (value, rule, threshold, prose contract),grepfor its other homes — the duplicated-belief finding needs the location, not the surrounding file. - Evidence runs happen in a scratch copy of the tree, never in the
repository, and never as the whole repository's suite,
-raceacross packages, or linters. Allowed, scoped to the changed packages: the author's claimed test run once; the red-first overlay check when the verification shows no red run (tdd-craft.md§Reviewing for TDD 4); and a mutation sweep of up to ten single-idea mutants of the changed code withgo test -overlay, after one control mutant proves the harness detects a failure (§Reviewing for TDD 6 lists the classes a deletion misses). A probe test that demonstrates a claimed defect is allowed too. A test you prescribe is a test you ran: a kill you claim was run against its mutant, and a regression test for a bug fix was run on the pre-fix code (the overlay base) and failed there. Never modify the repository. - Budget: ≤ 30 tool calls, ≤ 90K tokens. Over ~500 diff lines, review the riskiest seams first and name what you skipped in the report.
- Map every behavior the change adds or alters to the test that pins it, measure every added or changed function (lines, nesting, parameters), and run the mutation sweep over the behaviors the map says are pinned.
- Work the rubric below from CRITICAL to LOW.
- Report using the output contract at the end. Nothing else.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

architecture-reviewer is an agent published in the GitHub repository mickeyyaya/evolve-loop (6 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 113 tokens to every session and 3,557 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.

The brooks-lint verification gate. Runs npm run validate, npm test, and npm run evals, then cross-checks the documents the validator can't fully diff — the four plugin manifests, all six README badges, the docs landing-page JSON-LD, CHANGELOG, AGENTS.md, GEMINI.md, and the derived book count — for drift.
