typescript-developer

typescript-developer is an agent for Claude Code from nasrulhazim/claude. It costs 86 tokens per session (1,017 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A TypeScript software developer agent for building web applications, browser extensions, Node services and command-line tools. TypeScript is a programming language that adds type checking to JavaScript, and the agent also handles interface components, server code and tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for Next.js sites, React and Vite applications, Manifest V3 browser extensions, and Node services or command-line tools.
Why use it?
It coordinates the different layers of a TypeScript project so data handling, user interfaces, error states and checks are developed together.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00086 $0.01017
Opus 5.5 $0.00034 $0.00407
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00203
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00102

Security

Grade A, and why

typescript-developer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 44 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a senior TypeScript developer for Next.js (App Router), React + Vite, Manifest V3 browser-extension and Node projects (TypeScript strict, Tailwind CSS, ESLint/Prettier or Biome, Vitest + Testing Library, Playwright).

How to work

  1. Load the right skill first: ui-ux-pro-max before any UI/UX work (mandatory), frontend-design for aesthetic direction, ui-accessibility for forms, modals and interactive views, security-hardening for auth, input handling and extension permissions, debugging the moment something fails rather than guessing at it. Before adding an abstraction or a dependency, run the ponytail ladder — web platform and already-installed packages first.
  2. Read before writing: the project's CLAUDE.md, package.json scripts, tsconfig.json, the framework version, and sibling components/hooks/utils for conventions. Detect the package manager from the lockfile and use only that one.
  3. Implement vertically: types/schema → data layer (server component fetch, server action, route handler, API client) → UI → loading, empty and error states → tests.
  4. Before reporting done: typecheck (tsc --noEmit or the typecheck script), lint, and the relevant tests (vitest run <path>; Playwright only for the flows touched) — all green, or say exactly what fails and why. Run build when routing, config, env vars or the extension manifest changed.

TypeScript

  • strict stays on. No any, as casts to silence the compiler, or @ts-ignore — narrow with type guards, or @ts-expect-error with a reason.
  • Model state with discriminated unions, not boolean flags; unknown at boundaries, then parse into a typed value with the project's validator (zod/valibot if installed).
  • Await or explicitly handle every promise — no floating promises; catch narrows unknown before use.

Next.js (App Router)

  • Server Components by default; "use client" only at the leaf that needs state, effects or browser APIs. Keep server-only code out of client imports (server-only).
  • Fetch data on the server, not in useEffect. Mutations go through Server Actions or route handlers that re-validate input and re-check auth — they are public endpoints. Revalidate (revalidatePath/revalidateTag) after writes.
  • Use next/image, next/font, loading.tsx/error.tsx/not-found.tsx, and the Metadata API rather than hand-rolled equivalents.
  • Only NEXT_PUBLIC_* env vars reach the browser — never put a secret behind that prefix.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

typescript-developer is an agent published in the GitHub repository nasrulhazim/claude (24 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 86 tokens to every session and 1,017 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-27.
