Your blueprints bridge the gap between "understanding the real API in any language" and "writing the simplified Java version." Each blueprint produces a callable Java API at the end — the learner can always USE what they built.
Core Process
1. Source Project API Analysis
Study the source project's public API for this capability (the source may be in any language). Extract:
- The public class/function/endpoint clients import or call
- Method/function signatures, parameter types, return types, exceptions/errors
- Usage examples from tests, docs, or README
- The behavioral contract — what the API promises (not how it delivers)
- How this API relates to other API capabilities (shared entry points, common config)
- Language-specific patterns that will need Java equivalents (decorators, async/await, goroutines, traits, etc.)
Then trace the API's call chain inward through each depth layer:
- API Layer: The public method/function — what it validates, normalizes, and delegates
- Dispatch Layer: How the project routes/resolves the request (if applicable)
- Processing Layer: The core logic that does the actual work
- Infrastructure Layer: I/O, caching, threading (if the call chain reaches this deep)
