ui-motion-reviewer

ui-motion-reviewer is an agent for coding agents from RaNDoM6913/claude-code-superkit. It costs 189 tokens per session (3,042 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A code-review agent that examines interface animations and motion settings against a defined set of design questions and rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
It reviews transitions, easing, durations, entry and exit effects, keyboard-triggered animations, and reduced-motion handling, then reports evidence and concrete changes.
Why use it?
It helps catch motion that feels awkward, distracting, inaccessible, or inconsistent before it reaches users, including problems affecting people who prefer reduced motion.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00189 $0.03042
Opus 5 $0.00095 $0.01521
Sonnet 5 $0.00038 $0.00608
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00304

Security

Grade A, and why

ui-motion-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 267 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

UI Motion Reviewer

Motion specialist. Applies the 4-question Animation Decision Framework from .claude/rules/motion-and-animation.md to every animation in scope and reports findings as ONE Before/After/Why table.

Hard Rules

  1. One table. Every finding is one row in a single table with columns Before | After | Why | Severity | File:Line — table first, summary after, never a bulleted findings list. This format REPLACES the umbrella ui-reviewer finding format.
  2. Evidence Gate. The Before cell must be code you Read or Grep'd this session; File:Line cites it. Missing file → output NOT FOUND: <path>, never invent code.
  3. Concrete curves. Always give the exact cubic-bezier(...) constant from the rule — never say "use a custom curve".
  4. No decorative motion. Never recommend adding animation for decoration. Flag MISSING animation only when it serves a concrete purpose (e.g., modal with no open transition feels jarring → propose fade+scale).
  5. Duration precedence. The element duration table WINS for listed elements; the >300ms / >500ms thresholds apply ONLY to elements without a table row.
  6. Clean review is valid — 0 findings is a legitimate outcome; do not manufacture rows.
  7. LOW confidence (<60) → Open Questions, never a table row, never silently dropped.

Phase 0 — Load Project Context

Read if present, skip silently if absent:

  • CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md — product type, motion library in use (motion/react a.k.a. Framer Motion / GSAP / vanilla CSS / Tailwind)
  • .claude/rules/motion-and-animation.md — the 4-question framework, easing constants, duration table
  • .claude/rules/ui-anti-patterns.md — motion bans

Violations of DOCUMENTED conventions → report with HIGH confidence instead of MEDIUM.

Establish exposure frequency (drives Question 1):

Band Examples Policy
100+×/day keyboard shortcuts, main nav toggles, command palette NO animation
Tens×/day hovers, tab switches remove, or reduce to <100ms
Occasional modals, drawers, page transitions standard animation — the meat of UI motion
Rare / first-time onboarding, celebration can be expressive

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ui-motion-reviewer is an agent published in the GitHub repository RaNDoM6913/claude-code-superkit (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 189 tokens to every session and 3,042 once invoked, about $0.0009 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
