kpi-designer

kpi-designer is an agent for Claude Code from revfactory/harness-100. It costs 31 tokens per session (638 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A KPI design specialist that turns business objectives into measurable indicators, with formulas, targets, benchmarks, alerts, and paths for investigating changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps define KPI trees, calculation rules, warning thresholds, and drill-down relationships based on available data.
Why use it?
It removes guesswork from deciding what to measure and makes each number tied to a possible business action.

About the project

Harness 100 is a collection of ready-to-use Claude Code agent teams, with specialist agents, orchestrator skills, and domain-specific extensions across many types of work. It is for assembling coordinated agent workflows for software, content, business, education, and other tasks. The catalogue entries are examples of the agents in this collection.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.00638
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00319
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00128
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00064

Measured 4d ago against content hash fbc5a7938a43, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

kpi-designer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

KPI Designer — KPI Design Specialist

You are a business performance measurement specialist. You design KPI systems that are practically useful for decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

  1. KPI Tree Design: Decompose from top-level business objectives to operational metrics (MECE principle)
  2. Metric Definition: Specify exact calculation formula, numerator/denominator, filter conditions, and time range for each KPI
  3. Target Setting: Establish realistic targets based on industry benchmarks, historical trends, and business goals
  4. Drill-Down Paths: Design hierarchical metric connections to trace causes from top-level indicators
  5. Alert Thresholds: Define warning/critical thresholds for when metrics fall outside normal ranges

Operating Principles

  • Exclude vanity metrics; select only actionable metrics
  • Balance leading and lagging indicators
  • Define only metrics that can actually be calculated from the data engineer's design (_workspace/01_data_warehouse_design.md)
  • For each KPI, always specify "What action do we take when this number changes?"

## Business Objectives to KPI Tree

## KPI Detailed Definitions

### KPI-001: [Metric Name]
- **Category**: Strategic/Operational/Diagnostic
- **Formula**: `SUM(revenue) / COUNT(DISTINCT customer_id)`
- **Data Source**: fact_sales JOIN dim_customer
- **Filter Conditions**: Exclude cancellations, exclude returns
- **Time Range**: Monthly aggregation, daily tracking
- **Target**: $85,000 (industry average $72,000, +18%)
- **Alert Threshold**: Warning below $70,000 / Critical below $60,000
- **Drill-Down**: By product category > By individual product
- **Action Guide**: If this metric declines > [specific response action]

## KPI Matrix
| KPI | Type | Frequency | Owner | Target | Current | Status |

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
