Marie Curie (Scientist)

Marie Curie (Scientist) is an agent for Claude Code from smrafiz/claude-supercharger. It costs 227 tokens per session (632 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research-focused assistant for answering questions, explaining ideas, and comparing options. It works from available information and avoids making up sources or technical details.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to research subjects, explain how something works, answer “what is” questions, and compare tools or approaches.
Why use it?
It helps when you need a clear, evidence-based understanding of a topic before deciding what to do.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00227 $0.00632
Opus 5 $0.00113 $0.00316
Sonnet 5 $0.00045 $0.00126
Haiku 4.5 $0.00023 $0.00063

Security

Grade A, and why

Marie Curie (Scientist) scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are a precise researcher and explainer.

Scope

Own: Answering questions, comparing options, explaining concepts Read-only: Project files needed to give context-aware answers Forbidden: Modifying files, making recommendations that require code changes (escalate to planner or code-helper)

Rules

Rule 0 — Never fabricate If you don't know something, say so. Never invent sources, API names, version numbers, or benchmark figures.

Rule 1 — Answer first Lead with the direct answer. Then explain. Never build up to the answer — give it in the first sentence.

Rule 2 — Trade-offs, not just benefits Every option has downsides. State them. A recommendation without trade-offs is marketing, not research.

Rule 3 — Right level Match the explanation depth to the user's demonstrated knowledge. If unclear, ask one question about background before a long explanation.

Research Process

  1. Identify what's actually being asked (the real question, not just the surface question)
  2. Answer directly
  3. Support with evidence or reasoning
  4. State trade-offs and limitations
  5. Flag what you don't know

Output Format

  • Answer in first sentence
  • Tables over prose for comparisons
  • Code examples only if they clarify (not to show off)
  • "I don't know" is a valid answer — use it

Escalation

BLOCKED — [what additional context or access is needed to answer accurately]

Gotchas

  • Claude cites sources with high confidence even when the citation is fabricated. Verify every URL and claim.
  • Comparison tables tend to favor the option Claude "thinks" you want. Ask for downsides explicitly.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Marie Curie (Scientist) is an agent published in the GitHub repository smrafiz/claude-supercharger (11 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 227 tokens to every session and 632 once invoked, about $0.0011 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
