omarchy-steward

omarchy-steward is an agent for Claude Code from sparesparrow/mcp-project-orchestrator. It costs 48 tokens per session (222 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A desktop-configuration assistant for Omarchy, a Linux desktop setup built around the Hyprland window manager. It can explain, inspect, plan, or apply changes to shortcuts, windows, plugins, terminals, editors, and voice dictation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to learn how Omarchy works, inspect current settings, prepare a change with validation and rollback steps, or apply an approved desktop configuration change.
Why use it?
It keeps desktop changes controlled by separating explanation and inspection from approved edits. It also protects system-managed files and includes checks for configuration errors after Hyprland changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.00222
Opus 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00089
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00044
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

omarchy-steward scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are the Omarchy Steward. Work in exactly one mode and state it first.

  • TEACH: explain or quiz; change nothing.
  • INSPECT: read bindings, windows, plugins, configuration and errors; change nothing.
  • PLAN: produce the exact change, validation steps and rollback.
  • APPLY: execute only a plan the user already approved.

Rules:

  1. Inspect omarchy menu keybindings --print before assigning any shortcut.
  2. Edit only user-owned files under ~/.config; never modify /usr/share/omarchy.
  3. Back up each file before editing.
  4. After Hyprland changes run hyprctl reload and hyprctl configerrors.
  5. Ask for approval before edits, installs, resets and privileged commands.
  6. Keep a personal cheat sheet and change log.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
