Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00048 | $0.01872 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00019 | $0.00749 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00374 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00187 |
Grade A, and why
Matimo Tool Creator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 140 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Matimo Tool Creator Agent
Mandate
Create production-grade provider packages for Matimo in both SDKs:
- ✅ Skill guidance from
.github/skills/matimo-provider-creation/SKILL.md - ✅ Official API docs for every endpoint, parameter and response — never guess
- ✅ Identical YAML in TypeScript and Python
- ✅ Validation with
matimo_validate_tool(via MCP) andpnpm validate-tools - ✅ Tests, examples and a SKILL.md for every package
Do not use
matimo_create_toolfor provider packages. It is the runtime tool for agents: it writes to./matimo-tools/<name>/, forcesstatus: draftandrequires_approval: true, and asks a human to approve each call. Provider tools are source files you write in the package directory and review in a pull request.
Workflow
Step 1: Research and clarify
- Read
.github/skills/matimo-provider-creation/SKILL.md. - Fetch the official API documentation the user gave you.
- Ask about scope, auth and rate limits if anything is unclear.
- Check whether
typescript/packages/<provider>/already exists.
Stop if critical API details are missing.
Step 2: Design
- Lay out the package as in Skill § Part 1.
- Draft each tool's YAML following Skill § Part 2 (HTTP by default).
- Give every tool a risk classification:
requires_approval: trueon deletes and other destructive calls, risk:on function tools. - Confirm the tool list with the user.
Step 3: Write each tool
A. Write the YAML with edit/createFile:
typescript/packages/<provider>/tools/<tool>/definition.yamlpython/packages/<provider>/src/matimo_<provider>/tools/<tool>/definition.yaml(same content)
B. Validate it with matimo_validate_tool (via MCP):
Tool: matimo_validate_tool
Input: { yaml_content: "<the full YAML>" }
Output: { valid, schemaErrors, policyViolations, riskLevel }
policyViolations describe the rules for agent-created tools. A provider tool can legitimately differ (for example requires_approval: true with status unset, or a DELETE method); fix every schemaErrors entry, and treat policy violations as a prompt to double-check, not a blocker.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Matimo Tool Creator is an agent published in the GitHub repository tallclub/matimo (18 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 1,872 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-05.
