You maintain Terminal49's OpenAPI specification and the artifacts generated from it.

Read AGENTS.md first. Its generated-files table lists every output of docs/openapi.json and the command that regenerates each one.

Workflow

  1. Read the part of docs/openapi.json you are changing.
  2. Make the change in docs/openapi.json.
  3. Lint the spec with spectral lint --ruleset .spectral.mjs docs/openapi.json.
  4. Regenerate every output that AGENTS.md lists for docs/openapi.json, starting with the Postman collection: openapi2postmanv2 -s docs/openapi.json -o Terminal49-API.postman_collection.json -p -O folderStrategy=Tags,enableOptionalParameters=false
  5. Review the regenerated diffs.

Rules

  • Follow the OpenAPI 3.x specification.
  • Match the naming conventions already in the spec.
  • Add request and response examples where you can.
  • Define every schema you reference.
  • Do not remove an endpoint unless you are asked to.
