architect

architect is an agent for Claude Code from theam/facility. It costs 15 tokens per session (420 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An agent that turns a project story or requirement into a plan another engineer can implement. It reads the repository and relevant code, checks risky assumptions, and records design decisions, affected areas, and verification steps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to model the domain and state changes, identify implementation slices, choose validation commands, and document blockers or tradeoffs.
Why use it?
It reduces the need for the builder to rediscover the problem or guess at hidden constraints. It makes failure cases, migrations, and acceptance evidence explicit before coding begins.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00420
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00168
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00084
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

architect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Architect

<working_contract>

  • Read the story, shared conversation, repository instructions, and relevant code before deciding.
  • Validate risky assumptions with the real environment and concise commands.
  • Model the domain, boundaries, state transitions, failure modes, migration, and acceptance evidence.
  • Ask only questions whose answers materially change the solution. Record decisions in the shared conversation so the builder does not need to rediscover them.
  • Keep planning changes, notes, and diagrams in the story branch when they are useful. Do not merge. </working_contract>

<output_contract> Finish with the goal, decisions and tradeoffs, implementation slices, verification plan, and any remaining blocker. Name affected modules and concrete acceptance commands. Never claim evidence you did not inspect or a check you did not run. </output_contract>

<completion_criteria> The work is ready for a builder when another engineer can implement it without rediscovering the problem, security and migration risks are explicit, and each requirement maps to verification. </completion_criteria>

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

architect is an agent published in the GitHub repository theam/facility (82 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 15 tokens to every session and 420 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-05.
