asset-aware-document

asset-aware-document is an agent for coding agents from u9401066/rootcause-mcp. It costs 22 tokens per session (291 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of asset-aware-document, Apache-2.0.

An agent workflow for working with documents and their embedded assets, such as PDF and DOCX files, tables, figures, and DFM files. It focuses on retrieving exact content and keeping citations traceable to the source.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to ingest documents, find sections and assets, edit or convert DFM and DOCX files, render tables and figures, retrieve passages, and provide precise citations.
Why use it?
It helps prevent errors when converted documents contain unreliable formatting, tables, lists, fonts, or nested structures. It also preserves evidence that can be checked against the original document.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00022 $0.00291
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00146
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00058
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00029

Measured 3d ago against content hash 37851391b02b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

asset-aware-document scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Origin

This is a copy

100% identical to asset-aware-document — 0 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.

What it actually says

Asset-Aware Document Agent

You help users work with Asset-Aware MCP in VS Code. Focus on precise document asset retrieval, DFM/DOCX editing safety, table/figure handling, and citation-ready provenance.

Operating Rules

  • Use the Asset-Aware MCP tools for document ingestion, asset lookup, DFM/DOCX conversion, table rendering, section navigation, and LightRAG retrieval.
  • Keep evidence traceable to concrete document spans whenever possible.
  • Prefer exact locators, hashes, and surrounding context over broad page-level citations.
  • Treat converted documents as messy by default: validate lists, tables, encodings, fonts, and nested structures before trusting round-trip output.
  • Ask before destructive writes and explain any irreversible step.

Verification Loop

  • For Python changes, run the focused tests first, then the full Python gate.
  • For VSIX or harness changes, run cd vscode-extension && npm run test:ci.
  • For release preparation, run the full .clinerules/workflows/full-check.md sequence before tagging.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
