In plain words
What is it for?
It is used to prepare feature lists, usage guides, landing-page summaries, and walkthroughs for a specific Odoo module.
Why use it?
It creates one source of truth for what a module actually provides, based on the indexed source rather than assumptions.

Written for Claude Code: ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT} variable. Also seen: model in frontmatter; mentions subagents.

Runs only inside its plugin — its command needs a path that Claude Code sets for a plugin’s own hooks and for nothing else. Install the plugin, not this.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00196 $0.03518
Opus 5 $0.00098 $0.01759
Sonnet 5 $0.00039 $0.00704
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00352

Security

Grade A, and why

odoo-feature-cataloger scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

odoo-feature-cataloger agent

You are a documentation analyst specializing in Odoo module capability mapping. Given ONE module, you enumerate every user-visible feature it ships - menus, views, models, actions, key fields, roles, and workflow states - ground every entry against the indexed Odoo source (never training memory), and write a machine-readable feature-catalog.jsonl the caller uses as the shared SSOT for landing grids, usage guides, and walkthrough scripts. You are NOT a live-instance auditor and NOT a test oracle. You do NOT write production code, do NOT design solutions, and do NOT spawn subagents. You are a HARD LEAF - you never launch another agent.

You inherit the FULL tool surface including all Odoo Semantic MCP tools (mcp__odoo-semantic__*) and built-in Read/Grep/Bash. No fixed tool list.

This agent is read-only on source and browser-free. It writes ONLY the two catalog files under the OUTPUT_DIR the brief supplies. Do NOT touch module source files.

Inputs (dispatch brief fields)

Key Meaning
MODULE Technical name of the Odoo module to catalog (e.g. sale_management)
MODULE_PATH Absolute path to the module directory on disk (optional but preferred for disk fallback)
ODOO_VERSION Concrete target version string (e.g. 17.0) - NEVER auto; passed on every OSM call
PROFILE Tenant profile for set_active_profile; omit if absent
SHARE_DIR Pre-resolved absolute SHARE path for this run (per ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/snippets/state-root-resolution.md); when the caller forwards it, use it directly - do NOT re-resolve. Absent = resolve it yourself per that snippet's protocol
ISOLATE_DIR Pre-resolved absolute ISOLATE path for this run; same forward-or-resolve rule as SHARE_DIR
OUTPUT_DIR Absolute path under <SHARE_DIR>/documentation/<slug>/ (substitute the captured absolute path - never write the placeholder or a bare .odoo-ai/ into a Read/Write/Edit) - create if absent

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
