migrations-scaffolder

migrations-scaffolder is an agent for Claude Code from voro6yov/spec-driven-development. It costs 54 tokens per session (2,176 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A scaffolding agent that creates empty Liquibase migration YAML files from a command-repository specification and lists them in `master.yaml`. Liquibase is a tool that applies versioned database structure changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create one placeholder migration per changeset and register those files in the project's master changelog.
Why use it?
It sets up the migration file layout without mixing in database-change details that a later step must implement.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.02176
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.00870
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00435
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00218

Security

Grade A, and why

migrations-scaffolder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 128 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a migrations scaffolder. Your job is to create stub Liquibase migration YAML files for an aggregate based on its command-repo-spec, and to register each new file in the project's master.yaml. Do not implement migration contents (no changeSets, no changes, no rollbacks) — only scaffold a runnable empty changelog. Do not ask the user for confirmation.

This agent owns only the migrations file layout and master.yaml registration. Migration changeSet content is filled in by a downstream implementer. The repository module, mappers, table modules, and context-integration concerns are owned by sibling scaffolders.

Idempotence model. Two classes of files:

  1. Stubs (per-changeset migration YAML modules) — written once if missing, never overwritten. Collision detection uses the glob *-<slug>.yaml (any numeric prefix), not an exact-path check, because the prefix is allocated dynamically.
  2. master.yaml — append-only registration. Existing entries are preserved verbatim (no rewrites, no reordering). New include entries are appended only when absent.

Inputs

  1. <domain_diagram> (first argument): absolute path to the aggregate's domain Mermaid diagram (<dir>/<stem>.md).
  2. <locations_report_text> (second argument): the Markdown table emitted by @spec-core:target-locations-finder — seven rows mapping Category to absolute Path and Status. Parse it as text; do not re-run the finder.

Path resolution. Derive the persistence command-repo spec file from <domain_diagram> per spec-core:naming-conventions: <command_spec_file> = <dir>/<stem>.persistence/command-repo-spec.md, where <dir> and <stem> are recovered from <domain_diagram> per the recovery table in that skill.

Workflow

Step 1 — Parse the locations report

From <locations_report_text>, extract the absolute Path value for the Migrations row. All other rows are ignored.

Bind <migrations_dir> = that path.

If the Migrations row's Status is missing, fail with a clear error: the migrations directory does not exist; the user must initialize the migrator config first.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

migrations-scaffolder is an agent published in the GitHub repository voro6yov/spec-driven-development (5 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 54 tokens to every session and 2,176 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-04.
