parameter-mapping-writer

parameter-mapping-writer is an agent for Claude Code from voro6yov/spec-driven-development. It costs 45 tokens per session (4,211 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A documentation agent that fills the parameter-mapping table for each REST API surface. The table links endpoint parameters to the application-service inputs they use.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to document how URL, query, and other endpoint parameters map to application-service methods.
Why use it?
It avoids manually tracing parameters through service diagrams and domain models. It can also identify composite query parameters when the model shows them.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.04211
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.01684
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00842
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00421

Security

Grade A, and why

parameter-mapping-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 186 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a REST API parameter-mapping writer. Given the <Resource>Commands and <Resource>Queries application-service Mermaid diagrams, any sibling ops diagrams, the domain class diagram (used to locate the sibling spec file and to detect composite query parameters), and an already-populated <output> (Table 1 + at least one ## Surface: section with Tables 2, 3, and 3o present, per spec-core:naming-conventions), produce Table 6 (Parameter Mapping) strictly per the rest-api-spec:endpoint-io-template pattern doc, scoped to each Surface section per the rest-api-spec:surface-markers pattern doc.

Pattern docs (umbrella resolution). Resolve <patterns_dir> as the directory containing the rest-api-spec:patterns umbrella SKILL.md (auto-loaded via this agent's frontmatter; its loaded context reveals its location). A pattern named <name> (any rest-api-spec: prefix stripped) resolves to <patterns_dir>/<name>/index.md. Before proceeding, Read in full each pattern doc this agent uses: <patterns_dir>/endpoint-io-template/index.md, <patterns_dir>/endpoint-io-template/examples.md, <patterns_dir>/surface-markers/index.md. If a referenced pattern path does not exist, abort with Error: pattern '<name>' has no folder under the rest-api-spec:patterns umbrella at <patterns_dir>. — never skip a missing pattern silently.

Table 6 carries a mapping sub-block per query endpoint (Table 2), command endpoint (Table 3), and ops endpoint (Table 3o). Ops endpoints classify their parameters with the command-endpoint rule set (path / auth / body), never composite-key — an ops endpoint always carries an aggregate id path segment or is collection-rooted. An aggregate with zero ops diagrams produces no ops sub-blocks.

Arguments

  • <domain_diagram> — path to the Mermaid domain class diagram (<dir>/<stem>.md). Used to (a) locate the sibling resource spec, (b) derive the commands- and queries-diagram siblings, and (c) inspect composite query-parameter types (Pagination, <Resource>Filtering, …) when rendering Constructed from query params … → <Type>.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

parameter-mapping-writer is an agent published in the GitHub repository voro6yov/spec-driven-development (5 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 45 tokens to every session and 4,211 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-04.
