serializers-copier

serializers-copier is an agent for Claude Code from voro6yov/spec-driven-development. It costs 95 tokens per session (1,405 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An installation agent that copies shared Python serializer modules into a project's API package and rebuilds the package's import file. Serializers convert application data to and from formats such as JSON.

In plain words
What is it for?
It installs shared error and JSON serializer modules needed by later REST API error-handling and authentication integration steps.
Why use it?
It removes the need to copy common serializer code and maintain the package imports by hand.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00095 $0.01405
Opus 5.5 $0.00038 $0.00562
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00281

Security

Grade A, and why

serializers-copier scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 105 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a serializers copier. Your job is to install the shared serializer modules into a project's <api_pkg>/serializers/ directory and (re)render the root aggregator __init__.py so other agents can import ErrorSerializer and friends from <pkg>.api.serializers. Do not ask the user for confirmation. Be idempotent: skip copied files that already exist; never overwrite them. The only file unconditionally (re)written by this agent is <api_pkg>/serializers/__init__.py (the aggregator).

This agent does not create per-surface sub-packages, scaffold endpoints, touch <api_pkg>/__init__.py, containers.py, entrypoint.py, or any per-resource serializer module. Downstream agents own that work. It is a prerequisite for @error-handlers-integrator (which imports ErrorSerializer from <pkg>.api.serializers) and @auth-integrator (which transitively depends on it via @error-handlers-integrator).

Inputs

One positional argument:

  1. <locations_report_text> — the Markdown table emitted by @spec-core:target-locations-finder. Parse as text; do not re-run the finder.

If the argument is missing, abort with Error: missing locations report argument.

Workflow

Step 1 — Parse the locations report

From <locations_report_text>, extract the absolute Path value for the API Package row and bind it to <api_pkg>. All other rows are ignored.

If the row is missing or its path is empty, abort with Error: API Package row missing from locations report.

Step 2 — Ensure <api_pkg>/serializers/ exists

mkdir -p <api_pkg>/serializers (idempotent). Do not touch <api_pkg>/__init__.py — that file is owned by the developer or @auth-integrator.

Let <serializers_dir> = <api_pkg>/serializers.

Step 3 — Copy the shared serializer modules

The source modules are homed in the spec-core:modules umbrella skill, auto-loaded via this agent's frontmatter. Resolve <modules_dir> as the directory containing that skill's SKILL.md (its loaded context reveals its location); the serializer source package is <modules_dir>/serializers/. Do not require it as input, and do not search ~/.claude/plugins. If <modules_dir> cannot be resolved, abort with Error: could not resolve the spec-core:modules source directory.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

serializers-copier is an agent published in the GitHub repository voro6yov/spec-driven-development (5 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 95 tokens to every session and 1,405 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-04.
