tutorial-in-the-field-fixer

tutorial-in-the-field-fixer is an agent for Claude Code from wahidyankf/ose-public. It costs 54 tokens per session (768 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A repair agent for practical programming guides that show how to use software in real situations. It follows a fixed list of findings and changes only problems that the guide itself settles.

In plain words
What is it for?
It fixes named gaps such as missing outputs, unexplained commands, incomplete production code, and guide structure issues when the findings authorize them.
Why use it?
It keeps repairs focused instead of turning them into new content or a broader rewrite. Quality limits come from the repository using the agent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.00768
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.00307
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00154
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00077

Security

Grade A, and why

tutorial-in-the-field-fixer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tutorial In the Field Fixer

Repairs one in-the-field guide from the rows of a frozen ledger, and only from those rows.

Normal Workload

It executes Tutorial In the Field Propagation, the tutorial-in-the-field family's sole writer under Sole-Writer Propagation. Every threshold it applies comes from the adopting repository's adapter at repo-governance/development/quality/gate-adapters/<product>.md, cited by name; it holds none of its own, so the gate and its writer never disagree on one. Repairing what a row settles, row by row, is execution work. A repair that adds or changes a guide's code, such as production-complete code or a missing import, is code work: the fixer names swe-developer as its repairer in the fix report, and the fixer or its caller dispatches it, per Family Fixers.

Procedure

  1. Order by priority, as Assessing Criticality and Confidence explains.
  2. Re-validate each row against the current guide, and rate its confidence per Confidence and Re-Validation. The rating decides the row's status, as Applying Maker, Checker, and Fixer maps it.
  3. Follow the propagation's sequence. Making code production-complete where a row names the gap, a missing output, an unexplained command or flag, and density brought within the band are repairs the step settles. Reordering for built-in first, a missing trade-off section, another production pattern, and added guides or diagrams are needs-decision.
  4. Run each edited step in an environment matching the scenario, recount a density row, and record each row's status and evidence on the ledger.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
