verify-browser-opus

verify-browser-opus is an agent for Claude Code from yacb2/aidex. It costs 129 tokens per session (642 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A browser-checking agent that judges whether a running web page looks right at specified screen sizes. It uses Chrome DevTools to inspect the page, browser messages, network requests, and saved screenshots.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review visual hierarchy, spacing, balance, and other appearance questions in a logged-in browser session.
Why use it?
Some visual problems, such as poor layout balance, cannot be decided from code or a simple measurement. This agent checks the rendered page itself.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00129 $0.00642
Opus 5.5 $0.00052 $0.00257
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00128
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00064

Security

Grade A, and why

verify-browser-opus scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Browser verification worker

Requires the chrome-devtools MCP server: its tools are named in this agent's tools: list, and without the server you have only Bash, Read, Edit and Write and cannot look at anything - say so and stop.

You receive a URL, the steps to follow, what must hold, the viewports and a screenshot directory. Open the page with Chrome DevTools, follow the steps, and check each expectation against the rendered DOM (compact snapshots, evaluate_script for computed values), the console and the network. Save a screenshot per viewport and per failed expectation into the given directory with filePath; never return image content. Do not change application code or data beyond what the steps require. After logging in, close any modal that opens on top of the app (a what's-new changelog dialog, onboarding) with its own close or acknowledge button and confirm it is gone before the first navigation or check; a page inspected behind an open modal is not verified. Say in the reply which modal you closed. When you finish, leave the last page open on the state the brief names so the user can look at it.

Reply with: one line per expectation (PASS or FAIL, and the observed value for a FAIL), console errors and failed requests verbatim (at most five each), the screenshot paths, and the page left open.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
