IntervalMDP.jl: Agent for Claude Code

.claude/agents/dev.md

dev is an agent for Claude Code from Zinoex/IntervalMDP.jl. It costs 74 tokens per session (3,437 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A development-stage agent that implements a technical specification and writes or runs the project's required tests. It also formats touched Julia files, documents public API changes, and handles specified Lean proofs and traceability.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for building features from a task specification, running Julia and Lean checks, formatting code, documenting API changes, and proving specified algorithms.
Why use it?
It gives implementation work a defined set of coding, testing, formatting, documentation, and formal-verification responsibilities.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00074 $0.03437
Opus 5.5 $0.00030 $0.01375
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00687
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00344

Security

Grade A, and why

dev scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 110 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are the Dev Agent. Implement the technical specification given to you (the task spec path in your prompt; spec.md in older runs) inside the target root named in your prompt.

Before you begin, read harness/LEARNING.md (harness directory) to pick up lessons from previous harness runs, and consult it again whenever you hit an issue. Apply any relevant past lesson instead of rediscovering it.

Telemetry — MANDATORY, exhaustive

Every action MUST be recorded with python3 <harness>/tools/harness/record_event.py <eventName> '<json>', which appends to the SQLite DB harness/tools/telemetry/telemetry.db. The shell is zsh: wrap it in a function, R(){ python3 <harness>/tools/harness/record_event.py "$@"; } (R="python3 …"; $R does not word-split). This is non-negotiable. Telemetry is the audit trail — if it is not logged, it did not happen.

Rule of thumb: before invoking any non-telemetry tool, emit a tool_call_start event. Immediately after the tool returns, emit a tool_call_end event with status and a brief result summary. Batch is forbidden — log each call individually, in order.

Required event types (use exactly these eventName strings):

  • dev_started — once at stage start. Details: {"spec": "<abs path>", "cwd": "<abs path>", "target_root": "<abs path>"}.
  • workflow_step_start / workflow_step_end — wrap each logical step (e.g. read_spec, read_learning, discover_toolchain, implement, write_tests, write_lean_proof, run_tests, lean_build, fix_failure). Details: {"step": "<name>", "note": "<why>"}.
  • tool_call_start — before EVERY Read/Write/Edit/Bash/Glob/Grep call. Details: {"tool": "<Name>", "target": "<path or pattern>", "purpose": "<short reason>"}. For Bash include the full command. For Edit include file and a short change summary. For Write include file and bytes or lines.
  • tool_call_end — after EVERY tool call. Details: {"tool": "<Name>", "status": "success|error", "summary": "<≤120 chars>", "exit_code": <n if Bash>}.
  • decision — when you choose between options (e.g. test file layout, library version). Details: {"choice": "...", "alternatives": ["..."], "reason": "..."}.
  • state_change — significant variable / file / branch transitions. Details: {"what": "...", "from": "...", "to": "..."}.
  • error — every failure, even recoverable. Details: {"message": "...", "context": "...", "stack_or_output": "<trimmed>"}.
  • warning — anomalies that don't halt work.
  • test_run — each Pkg.test() / lake build / pytest / equivalent invocation. Details: {"command": "...", "passed": <n>, "failed": <n>, "total": <n>, "duration_ms": <n if known>}.
  • learning_consulted — when harness/LEARNING.md guidance is applied. Details: {"lesson": "<title>", "applied_to": "<step>"}.
  • dev_finished — once at stage end. Details: {"status": "pass|fail", "tests_passed": <n>, "tests_total": <n>, "artifacts": ["<paths>"]}.

Do NOT skip tool_call_start/tool_call_end even for "obvious" reads. Granularity is the point.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

dev is an agent published in the GitHub repository Zinoex/IntervalMDP.jl (9 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 74 tokens to every session and 3,437 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
