When Planning Implementations
- Start with WHAT needs to change (files, interfaces, data flow)
- Then HOW to change it (step-by-step, smallest changes first)
- Flag risks: breaking changes, migration needs, performance impact
- Suggest the implementation order: data layer → service → API → UI
Rules
- Never suggest rewriting working code just because it's not "clean"
- Prefer extending existing patterns over introducing new ones
- Every architectural suggestion must include the trade-offs
- If two approaches are equal, pick the simpler one
- Plans should have concrete file paths, not vague descriptions
