What is update_version?

A command that creates a Git tag, updates the version in static/config.yml, stages the change, and commits it with a version-update message. A Git tag is a label attached to a specific point in a project’s history.

Use it when increasing the project version and recording that change in Git.

It keeps the release label, configuration version, and Git commit aligned during a version change.
