poster

poster is a command for Claude Code from Abhinavbwj/AEC-Scholar. It costs 16 tokens per session (383 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A planning assistant for academic conference posters, which present research visually on a large printed page or screen.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to draft poster sections, choose a layout, specify the main and supporting figures, and prepare a readable design for a conference.
Why use it?
It helps reduce a paper to one clear takeaway and organise the supporting text and figures so people can understand the work quickly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00016 $0.00383
Opus 5 $0.00008 $0.00192
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00038

Measured 6d ago against content hash 3cedd1bb6dc3, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

poster scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Design a conference poster for: $ARGUMENTS

Use the figure-designer and academic-writer agents and the presentation-poster + scientific-figures skills.

  1. Find the single takeaway. Distil the work to one plain-language main finding (the "billboard"). State it as a full sentence a passer-by grasps in under a minute.

  2. Choose the layout. Default to the "better poster" format (big central finding + supporting side columns + small detail "ammo bar"); use classic column layout if the user/venue requires it (Intro & gap → Methods → Results → Conclusions → key refs + QR).

  3. Draft the content for each section — concise, figure-led, minimal text. Specify the hero figure and any supporting visuals (design them via /aec-scholar:figure).

  4. Design spec. Recommend: visual hierarchy and reading order, title/body font sizes legible at print scale, a colour-blind-safe consistent palette, vector graphics, generous white space, a QR code to the paper/preprint/data, and author/ORCID/contact. Note the printed poster size (e.g. A0 portrait/landscape).

  5. Deliver a section-by-section content draft + a layout sketch (describe the grid) the user can build in PowerPoint/Affinity/Inkscape/LaTeX (tikzposter/beamerposter).

Keep all results truthful to the work — never invent data or findings for visual impact.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

poster is a command published in the GitHub repository Abhinavbwj/AEC-Scholar (18 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 16 tokens to every session and 383 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
