What is it for?
Use it to inspect branch diffs in quick, standard, deep, or category-focused modes.
Why use it?
It structures the comparison and sends it to a review agent, helping uncover flaws that a routine code review may miss.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00009 $0.01498
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00749
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00300
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00150

Security

Grade A, and why

pr-redteam-branch scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

/redteam-pr:branch Command

Adversarial red team analysis of branch comparison for PR review.

Usage

/redteam-pr:branch <branch_spec> [mode]

Arguments

branch_spec (required):

  • Branch comparison specification
  • Format: base...feature or base..feature
  • Example: /redteam-pr:branch main...feature-branch

mode (optional):

  • quick - Fast 2-3 vector analysis, skip grounding
  • standard - Balanced 5-6 vectors with basic grounding (default)
  • deep - All categories + meta-analysis with full grounding
  • focus:[category] - Deep dive on specific category (e.g., focus:reasoning-flaws)

Instructions

You are the MINIMAL entry point for PR red team analysis of branch comparisons. Your ONLY job is to:

  1. Execute git operations to compare branches
  2. Check PAL MCP availability (optional enhancement)
  3. Extract diff metadata, commit context, and build structured snapshot
  4. Launch the pr-analysis-coordinator agent with the snapshot
  5. Return the coordinator's output directly to the user

Step 1: Execute Git Operations

Use the Bash tool to get branch comparison data:

# Get file statistics for branch comparison
git diff <branch_spec> --numstat

# Get unified diff with 3 lines of context
git diff <branch_spec> -U3

# Get commit log for context
git log --oneline <branch_spec>

Replace <branch_spec> with the provided argument (e.g., main...feature).

If the branches do not exist or comparison fails, inform the user and exit.

Step 2: Check PAL Availability (Non-Blocking)

Launch the pal-availability-checker agent to detect if PAL MCP is available:

Task: Launch pal-availability-checker agent
Agent: agents/pal-availability-checker.md
Prompt: Check if PAL MCP is available and list models

Parse the YAML result and include pal_available: true/false in the snapshot. This step is NON-BLOCKING - continue regardless of result. PAL is optional.

Step 3: Parse Mode

Determine mode from command arguments:

  • Default mode: standard

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
